Mission-aligned paid tutoring that funds free services
iHear supports long-term program sustainability through donations, grants, sponsorships, fundraising, and mission-aligned earned revenue. These resources help fund training, curriculum, technology, outreach, and the expansion of free services for learners with hearing and communication needs. The iHear Academy Pilot is a paid tutoring initiative that explores a sustainable earned-revenue model. Revenue may support Academy tutor compensation and program costs, with remaining net revenue intended to support the free iHear Program. Paid Academy tutoring is separate from iHear volunteer service, and compensated Academy hours are not counted as volunteer service hours.
The Academy focuses on practical core competencies for English Communication: pronunciation, speaking fluency, listening comprehension, vocabulary, and above all, the confidence to speak up, in an immersive environment where students progress from "learning English" to "learning in English." 100% satisfaction rate.
